How we help

We believe in creating an environment based on safety, freedom, equality, respect and empowerment.

Emergency appeal:

After suffering a significant cut to our funding in December 2019, we have been on a mission to bridge the gap and keep the refuge open. We’re doing all we can to raise funds and drive efficiencies, but if you are able to help with a donation we would really appreciate it at this difficult time.

As the pandemic continues to keep people inside their homes, we’re desperate to make sure we remain open, to support the women and children who may have to flee their homes to escape domestic abuse. Noone should be locked in with their abuser.

What is abuse?

Any incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, threatening or violent behaviour can be deemed domestic abuse. Read our list of common factors that often link women’s experiences. You are not alone, we want to help.
